This summer's Youth Conference is the single most successful enterprise done together by the two American Reformed Church bodies year after year with the help of the two gracious fraternals: the Hungarian Reformed Federation and the William Penn Association. The Traditional Annual Meeting of Church Workers Conference and Ministerial Association Meeting ON MONDAY SEPTEMBER 4 (LABOR DAY) Dr. M. Eugene Osterhaven gave the sermon in the 11 a.m. worship service, and gave a presentation on that same day from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m. entitled "How could the Dutch Reformed churches become well established, viable churches in America?" Tuesday 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 Imre Bertalan of Toledo, Ohio examined the question of the future of our congregations in America and addressed the question of how our churches could be well established, growing churches here in the next generations. Rev. Julius Paál also gave a lecture on Pastoral Psychology. I FUTURE EVENTS THE LAKESIDE CLASSIS WILL have its Fall Meeting in Dayton (OH) church on October 9th. Dean István Nyeste will be presiding. At the same time and same place, our Synodical Council will have its Fall Council Meeting also. Rt. Rev. Dr. Francis Vitéz bishop presiding. 100 Churches Celebrating 100th Anniversary The Hungarian Reformed Church of Passaic, New Jersey will observe their 100th Anniversary on October 22. The opening for the Anniversary Year was held on April 29 and 30. The First Hungarian Reformed Church of New York will observe their 100th Anniversary this fall. A gala banquet is being planned for this event. '96 Synod Meeting The days of May 21-24 were set aside for the Annual Meeting next year, with the site to be chosen by the Conference Council (Const. Art. VIII.)
