CALVIN SYNOD HERALD-2-REFORMÁTUSOK LAPJA Installation in Flint, Ml More than a dozen ministers and a couple hundred church members, friends and visitors gathered to celebrate the installation of °eter P. Bodor in Flint, Ml last November. The sanctuary was filled to capacity during the Sunday afternoon service as the ministers walked into the church, singing "Szívemet hozzád emelem." They came from Florida to Canada, from Chicago to New Jersey and even as far as Transylvania. Bishop Zoltán Király of the Calvin Synod and retiring Bishop Dezső Abraham of the Hungarian Reformed Church in America were both present. Bishop Király delivered the English sermon and the father of Rev. Peter P. Bodor, the Rev. László Bodor of Miami, FL, delivered the Hungarian sermon. Other ministers participating were: Dean Karoly K. Ludwig, Dr. Desmond Parragh, Dr. Zoltán Szucs, Rev. Lajos Medgyesy, Rev. Imre A. Bertalan, Rev. József Posta, Rev. Kalman Csia, Rev. Reginald Lancester, (U.C.C. representative) and Rev. Lorand Horvath. It was very heartwarming to hear the dedicated singing of Mrs. László Bodor, the mother of the installee, in addition to other soloists and congregational singing. The service of installation left the impression of a large family's loving celebration. The service was followed by a magnificant banquet at The Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Hall. The food and hospitality were surpassed only by the friendly atmosphere filling the air. We all wish and pray for God's blessing and guidance in the work of this dedicated congregation and their pastor, Rev. Peter Pal ’Bodor. May God strengthen them to work for His glory and fór the spiritual growth of every member at the Hungarian Reformed Church of Flint, Michigan. Zoltán D. Szucs General Secretary IN MEMÓRIÁM Hungarians of all religious denominations throughout the Free World were saddened by the news of the recent untimely death in Cologne, West Germany, of the Most Reverend Doctor László A. Irányi who, on July 27, 1983, was ordained Titular Bishop of Castel Mediano for the spiritual assistance of all Hungarians living outside of Hungary. Consecrated by Archbishop Pio Laghi, the Apostolic Delegate to the United States, at a memorable ceremony held at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C., the late 64-year-old Bishop was the first American-born Hungarian Catholic priest and theologian ever appointed shepherd of all Hungarian diocesan priests.
