The Calvin Synod of the United Church of Christ and the Hungarian Reformed Church of America, as charter members and invited representatives of the Presbyterian Church of the USA, the Reformed Church in America, as well as other invited guests, a total of 26 persons gratefully acknowledged the various projects and ministries which they already have in common. They also worked out new ways of cooperation and future commitments and laid foundations for long range plans and goals, so that the Hungarian Reformed ecumene would become a dynamic reality. Praising God for His gift of unity in Jesus Christ we pray that in a divided, threatened world our congregations may capture the vision of our high calling and work together in trust and confidence on all levels for the glory of God and for the benefit of our people. Bishops: Dezső Ábrahám and Dr. John Butosi
