Ludwig before the meeting in order to claim travel reimbursement for delegates. * Hotel reservations should be made directly with Lord Ligonier Inn, Loyalhanna St., Ligonier Pa. 15658 (412/238-9534) on the card mailed to churches and ministers. Our group rate is $31.00 for single occupancy and $34.00 for double occupancy. Forty rooms are reserved. Make reservation early! * It is recommended to travel in car, and in car pool if possible, if we wish to maintain the present level of equalization quota. Try to arrive Sunday evening! * By April 5, advance material will be mailed to churches and ministers. It is expected that delegates will digest the material before the meeting. (If you have any book on the Church Growth Movement, such as, "Ten Steps For Church Growth” by D. A. McGavran and W. C. Arn, read it in preparation!) * Any overture to the Annual Meeting should be in the Bishop’s Office before April 1 which is also the deadline for deans to mail their reports to the same place. * Finally: Pray that our gathering might be useful for all of us. * * * Our Treasurer reports that most of our churches tried to comply with the Dec. 31 deadline. But more importantly we were able to support UCC causes ($2,250,82), the Bethlen Home ($5,416), projects in Hungary ($12,989,80), Romania ($2,016), South America ($2,144), other parts of Europe ($274), etc. The total of our mission contribution: $26,150 gives us joy and encouragement!... * * * The Conference Council met in Pittsburgh, Pa. on Feb. 15-17, 1982. In addition to preparing the Annual Meeting, the Council had a consultation with representatives of the Federation and the Hung. Ref. Church in America in regard to the Washington, D.C. church. With administrator Nicholas Novak, the bishop visited the Homestead church and consulted the consistory regarding the vacancy. * * * JUST BRIEFLY: In February the Rev. and Mrs. Zoltán Kovács had a car accident in a snow storm, but both of them are all right now... The Rev. Mária Babos underwent a gall bladder operation on Feb. 23 in Northfield, Mass., but now recuperating after the successful operation... Board and room at the Ottawa WARC meeting will be $27.00 per day (Aug. 17-27, 1982). If interested, call Dr. Butosi... A Message to Parents A study once disclosed that— if both Mam and Dad attend church regularly, 72 percent of their children remain faithful in attendance. ... If only Dad attends regularly, 55 percent remain faithful__ If only Mom attends regularly, 15 percent remain faithful.... If neither attend regularly, only 6 percent remain faithful.
