Increase among us those who follow the teaching of Christ, and multiply the number of those who serve you in spirit and truth. Protect in us your spiritual possessions and enlarge those values with which you endowed us. And allow us in this changing world to serve you with secure faith in you, constant trust in your goodness and unshakable confidence in the saving work of Christ, in whose name and spirit we pray. Amen. (R.P.K.) ^ Prayer ^ Lord of life, Creator of heaven and earth, in quietness we praise your holy name. We draw near to you in thankfullness because day after day we see and sense your goodness. Make this precious time of prayer, during which we unite with you a great blessing not only in our lives but through us in the lives of others. We ask you to continue your guidance upon us with the power of the Holy Spirit, so that we could use all our talents in your service and for the benefit of humanity. May your will become our will as we become intruments of that Christian service which Christ has already completed before us. When we become weak and stumble in our work we ask you to become our strength, and we ask you to guide us such a way that nothing could separate us from the narrow path that leads to you, and nothing could isolate us from eternal life. With the power of the Gospel cleanse us from our sins and in the light of Christ’s teaching bring us to repentance, to justification by faith and to the opportunity of becoming witnesses and disciples of the Master. Strengthen us in our loyalty toward our people and our church, Letters Ethel Molnár from Toledo, Ohio wrote, "Congratulations on the new look of the Reformátusok Lapja. The cover was beautiful — it must be extra beautiful in color. A number of readers have commented on how much they enjoyed the last issue. I believe you were responsible for the changes in the set up of the print. Keep up the good work. ” * * * When the October issue was prepared by having equal amount of English and Hungarian on each page, it was done in the hope that the readers will realize that a change has taken place. After the faithful service of Dr. Francis Vitéz for 13 years the Calvin Synod Herald found itself without an editor. The Synodical Council has elected Paul Kantor to take care of the publication until the next Synod meeting in April. The role of the editor should be to edit the written material, but when there are no articles given to him, then the editor must prepare enough material to fill the publication, and produce the art work for the cover. Unfortunately the Calvin Synod Herald does not have any office workers, so the bookkeeping and financial administrative problems are also placed into the hands of the editor. Without help it is very time consuming. We feel that the Calvin Synod Herald could be, and should be 9 very important part of our religious experiences, and it should be a mission priority.
