THE BETHLEN HOME CELEBRATES AN 80TH ANNIVERSARY The year long celebration culminated on October 27th and 28th when many came to Ligonier and to the First Hungarian Reformed Church in Pittsburgh to thank God for the many blessings He has shared with us through the life and ministry of the Bethlen Home. The former residents of the Orphans’ Home. The day began with a lunch and get together with some of the former residents of the Children’s Home and children of former directors. After lunch a movie was shown that the late Rev. Kecskemethy made some 50 years ago about the Children’s Home. It was wonderful to watch and hear the guests’ reminiscences. Then, a group went to the Ligonier Valley Cemetery for a wreath laying ceremony to remember the past leaders and residents of the Bethlen Home. A worship service of Thanksgiving was held at the Covenant Presbyterian Church. 18
