BEAVER FALLS, PENNSYLVANIA Third Ave. Calvin Reformed Church Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania Supply Pastor: Rév. Imre A. Bertalan Elder: Endre Csornán We are a small congregation with a great determination to keep our church alive spiritually and physically. We had no funerals, baptisms or weddings. The Lord’s Supper was celebrated on appropriate Sundays. We again held the ecumenical worship service for the 14th year. On several occasions we attended our sister churches to support them in various celebrations. Our congregation was represented at the Calvin Synod Annual Conference held at Somerset, PA. We also gave donations to: the Tisza River flood relief program in Kárpátalja, the Partium Choir, a Reformed Church in Transylvania and to the Bethlen Home. Our membership is small (twenty), but that small number does not keep us from supporting others. Further improvements were made to our church: A new furnace and central air-conditioning were installed. Additional folding chairs were purchased, as well as a stand for the microwave oven, and new Christmas decorations. The Sunday School again gave flower plants on Easter to members and Boxes of candy for Christmas. They also gave gifts to members stricken by illness. Our small Sunday School and the children’s sermonettes are a joy to all of us. We thank Rev. Imre A. Bertalan for his genuine concern for our welfare and future church life. I pray that our congregational members feel a link to our predecessors who founded the church. I sense that the founders of our church would be proud to be a part of our church life. God bless the memory of their dedication. Endre Csornán, Chief Elder Children’s Christmas Play at Beaver Falls Church. 108
