Magyar nyelvosztályunk, tánccsoportunk, rádiónk hetente aktivan működik. Mindent megteszünk gyülekezetünk növekedésére, jelenleg sajnos csak 74 lelket számol gyülekezetünk, s már bizony húsz éve bezárt volna, ha anyagilag nem támogatná a bingó.

Jövőre, 2002-ben ünnepeli gyülekezetünk, alapításának századik évfordulóját, amelyet méltóképpen óhajtunk megünnepelni. Reméljük, hogy velünk együtt imádkoznak, és ünnepelnek majd a testvérek.

The Fairport congregation celebrated its 90th Anniversary of founding on October 22nd. Originally it was a member with the Conneaut and Ashtabula churches in a tripartite fellowship; but in a few short years the church was numerically and financially strong enough to maintain itself. In its short 90 years of existence, the church had 17 ministers serving the membership. Among the sister congregations and local church representatives, we also had the honor of Bishop László Tokes’s presence at the celebration. A pictorial directory was published in commemoration of the occasion.

During the year we saw 10 of our members called into the Lord’s presence. The loss is greatly felt among the Hungarian speaking membership whose ranks have declined to about a dozen souls attending church service. We note their passing with sadness because it was their generation that exhibited the greatest amount of responsibility and commitment for the spiritual and physical well being of the church.
