Török Ottó, igazgató) Teri Pflum, Manager Branch 300, Washington, DC National Volunteer Day recognized in Flint, Michigan On June 17th, young members of our branch joined with other youngsters of the community to take part in a National Volunteer Day sponsored by the National Fraternal Congress of America by cleaning the Heritage Church in Davidson, Michigan. The Home Office presented our branch with a donation for promoting and coordinating this activity. Each child who took part in this volunteer activity also received a special certificate of participating and a “Hug a Hungarian” T-shirt. Sara Nagy, Manager Branch 182, Flint, Michigan “Operation Christmas Child” Branch 202 and the First Hungarian Reformed Church of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, participated in the “Operation Christmas Child” project. Each year hundreds of thousands of children and adults across the United States, Canada, Australia and Europe prepare gift filled shoeboxes for children around the world. We were able to collect 18 boxes and an additional $90 to defray shipping and handling costs. “Samaritan’s Purse” provided us with a suggestion gift list and labels indicating boy or girl and the age category. We hope that this sends a message of hope to children in desperate situations in areas around the world that we care. Bertalan Oláh, Manager Branch 202, Duquesne, Pennsylvania 22
