Chairman Lipoczky appointed Delegates Morey, Ayers and Demeter as tellers. Director St. Miklosy acted as clerk. The Chair offered 2 minutes time to all the candidates wishing to serve on the Board of Directors of the HRFA to address the Convention if they wished. Rev. Les Martin, Olga Damay, László Hamos, Richard Áros, George Dózsa, John Morey, Alexander Jalso, Fred Erdei, Michael Pauli and William Nicholas accepted the opportunity to speak. The Chair explained that we will make the election district by district and then at large. The alternate members will be the ones with the highest vote, next to the winners. We do not nominate or vote for alternates, but a candidate can state that he or she wishes to be an alternate. 1. Eastern District (New York/Connecticut) -1 director to be elected. Elected to the Board: László Hamos - Alternate: Ernest P. Virgulák 2. Mid-Atlantic District (New Jersey, Eastern Pennsylvania, D.C.) 2 directors to be elected. Elected to the Board: Rev. Stefan Torok; Priscilla Hunyady. Alternates: Fred Erdei and Rev. Barnabas Roczey. 3. Mid-west District (Ohio) - 2 directors to be elected. Elected to the Board: Richard Aros; John K. Morey. Alternate: Elizabeth Schmidt. 4. Northern District (Michigan and Toledo) -1 director to be elected. Elected to the Board: Tibor Nagy elected. Alternate: Helen Szabó. 5. Central District (Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia) - 2 directors to be elected. Elected to the Board: Joseph Fabri; Clara Csikesz. Alternates: Olga Damay; Alexander Jalso. 6. Western District (Indiana, Illinois, California) -1 director to be elected. Elected to the Board: Joseph Kovács. Alternates: Peter Toth; Katherine Mischak. 7. At-Large - 3 delegates to be elected. Elected to the Board: Michael Pauli, Jr.; Rev. Leslie Martin; George Dózsa. Alternates: Elizabeth Schmidt; William Nicholas. President Dózsa thanked the delegates, fellow officers, Board members, and office staff for their cooperation and conscientious work. He specifically thanked the Convention Committee that organized this Convention, their co-chairs Richard Aros and Rev. Imre A. Bertalan and their members Mrs. Aros, Mrs. Morey and Reverend and Mrs. Szucs. 175
