PERTH AMBOY, NEW JERSEY Magyar Reformed Church Perth Amboy, New Jersey Pastor: Rev. Stefan M. Torok Chief Elder: Kim Latkovich By the grace of God we have reached the first year of the new millennium. The 2000th year of our Lord marks the 97th year of the existence of our church. We give thanks to the Lord for His kindness and grace toward us, that in the long history of our church He has been with us, He protected us and that He provided for us both materially and spiritually to live a kind of life for which He has called us. Our congregation still provides Divine Worship Services for our members in both languages. Our English Divine Worship Service is held every Sunday at 9:00 a.m. Our attendance through the years has declined, but still around 75-100 members come together to worship the Lord and enjoy the spiritual fellowship. On each Sunday, following the English worship service we provide a Christian Fellowship to our members in the form of a Coffee Hour, which is sponsored by the different church organizations. Also on each Sunday at 9:00 a.m. our Sunday school awaits our young people for Christian Education. The superintendent of our Sunday School is Mrs. Judith Vincze-Quinn daughter of our former pastor, the late Rt. Rev. Dr. Charles Vincze. We are truly thankful to the Lord that our Sunday School attendance is strong and our teachers are dedicated to the cause of bringing up our young people in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Our Hungarian worship service is held at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday. Holy Communion is observed on each first Sunday of the month or during the Christian holidays. Our Church Council consists of 21 members. The Chief Elder of the congregation is Mr. Kim Latkovich, Vice Presidents are: Mr. Robert Zambo and Mr. Steve Katko, the secretary of the Council is Mrs. Priscilla Jenkins, and our Church Treasurer is Mr. Andrew C.
