Vilma Phillips Vitéz 1931-1999 Vilma Phillips Vitéz died September 9,1999. She was bom in New Brunswick and lived in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, for the past 43 years. She was a graduate of New Brunswick High School and Drake College. She was the wife of the pastor of the John Calvin Hungarian Reformed Church of Perth Amboy. She was the full-time church secretary, the Sunday school superintendent, and a member of the Ladies Guild at the church. She was also the hospital visitor for the Perth Amboy Clergy Association. She was a member of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of American and the William Penn Association. Surviving are her husband of 43 years, the Rt. Rev. Francis Vitéz, Bishop, two daughters, Julianna Poznan of Fairfield, Connecticut, and Ilona Mueller of Thousand Oaks, California; a son, Imre of Whitehouse Station section of Readington; two sisters, Julia Toth of the Somerset section of Franklin and Lenke Levay of Bangor, Pennsylvania; a brother Steve Phillips of California, and seven grandchildren. Services were held at the John Calvin Hungarian Reformed Church of Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Mrs. Vitéz was manager of the Perth Amboy Branch 269 of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America. She served the Federation and the members entrusted to her care with dedication and loyalty. 232
