Bethlen Almanac 1999 (Ligonier)
Közép Egyházmegye - Central Classis
I am convinced that the Almighty God has been good to us, has guided us during the past year and continues to watch over us. Worship services continued without interruption, except for two Sundays when inclement weather prevailed. This congregation always remembers their shut-ins who have supported their church in their lives, but who can no longer attend due to illness. We had one baptism, one marriage ceremony, three funerals and the confirmation of two young ladies. Since December of 1998,1 have been serving this congregation, as well as the Johnstown-Windber, Springdale and Vintondale congregations which belong to the Calvin Synod Conference of the United Church of Christ. Indeed, this is a challenge to me both spiritually and physically. I believe through the service and cooperation of these dedicated people that many beautiful tasks of the Glory of God will be accomplished. Prayerfully, I hope that the inner spiritual and outer physical life of this congregation will renew day by day. May God’s blessings rest forever upon every church member as well as upon the many friends who support the church year after year. Rev. Dr. Joseph Posta, Pastor Confirmation Class of 1999.
