Bethlen Almanac 1999 (Ligonier)

canned food drives were to help the Red Cross. We have collected hundreds of old glasses for the Lions Club, and will continue to do so, knowing how much our old glasses will mean to someone who cannot afford to purchase new ones. Hungarian worship is held every month, on the first Sunday at 9:00 a.m. I was asked to hold occasional Hungarian services in Cincinnati, and will probably do so around the holidays. I also help out the Columbus church on several funerals. We continue and support the Bethlen Home in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, in their plans to build a new nursing home on top of the hill. It was an honor to get on the new Board of Directors of the Bethlen Home, and also on the Executive Board, to take an active part in the revitalization of this great Hungarian Reformed center in North America. I would like to thank all my fellow church leaders, and my hard working church members, for their support. Although we are a very small group we are very active and working hard on ideas to expand our membership. Our prayer is that God may lead us into a promising future. Our congregation will celebrate its 100lh year of worship here in Dayton, Ohio, in 2002. “If God be for us, who can be against us?” Soli Deo Gloria. Rev. Gábor G.
