Dark and Light

Born in darkness, bom are we,

Lost for all eternity.

To wander about aimlessly,

Blind to God’s reality.

In arrogance we think we see,

And yet deny the Trinity.

Satan, prince of enmity,

Holds us in captivity.

Then to darkness comes a light,

To take away the endless light.

In its presence dark takes flight,

In its presence there is sight.

End of wrong, the start of right.

No longer lost, but pure delight.

And who is this who has such might?

The Son of God, Jesus the Christ.
