Dr. Posta József lelkipásztor PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA First Flungarian Reformed Church of Pittsburgh Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Commissioned Minister: Ilona M. Komjáthy Chief Elder: Wilburn A. Roby, Jr. Nestled in the deep of winter, three church events brought fellowship, renewal and the promise of the future. The first of these events was the meeting of Central Classis. The faithfulness of these small churches, as they valiantly strive to maintain themselves and yet purpose to fulfill their Christian mission in the world around them, can not be overestimated. This year’s meeting was held in the Springdale Church. The second event was when Dr. John Wilson remembered the first year anniversary of the death of Dr. Komjáthy in a fitting tribute to his Christian witness of forty years as a pastor and to his life as an outstanding Church historian. The ladies of the church prepared a lovely reception at this time also. The third event of the winter season was the installation of Mrs. Komjáthy as a Commissioned Minister by the Calvin Synod Conference of the United Church of Christ on March 21. The Rt. Rev. Louis Medgyesi, Bishop of Calvin Synod officiated. Also in attendance were members of the local clergy, Pastor Ravensthal of The St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and Ellen Campbell, student pastor from Pittsburgh Seminary. Mrs. Komjathy’s family included her mother, Mrs. Helen Molnár, her sisters Jo-Ann Molnár and Dr. Dorothy Molnár, her niece Sarton and her church elder daughter Victoria. Again the ladies presented a beautifully prepared reception. 87
