1990 júniusa végén vált meg az aktív szolgálattól, s Hideawayhillsben épített házában telepedett le, alkalmi szolgálatokat is ellátva. 1997. november 22-én tartott temetésén a Nyugat-Clevelandi Magyar Evangélikus templom megtelt. Szolgált Tamásy Zoltán lelkipásztor, Kelley Róbert, az Eszakkelet-Ohioi Evangélikus Egyházkerület tb. püspöke és Bernhardt Béla, az Amerikai Magyar Evangélikus Konferencia főesperese. Koporsója körül 18 lelkész énekelte a “Térj magadhoz, drága Sión” éneket. Mary Lazar (1914-1998) Mary Lazar passed into eternal life January 23, 1998. She was bom in Lorain, Ohio and subsequently moved to Elyria. She was married to Joseph Lazar for 61 years and had one daughter, Sandra. She spent 18 years as a supervisor of 200 employees in a garment factory and was an expert seamstress. After that she spent several years as a representative in the Lorain area for Branch 31 of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America. She later went into the Real Estate field. When the Hungarian refugees came to Lorain in 1956, she completely handled their placement in the local community. She was subsequently honored at a large banquet for her efforts. She was an accomplished organist and for many years she was an organist at the Lorain Hungarian Church. Her greatest legacy was her integrity and her love for helping others and being very proud of her heritage. She used to say, “Faith, Hope and Love - always remember the greatest is Love.” Mary Lazar was an exceptional human being and an exceptional wife and Mother. Sandra Lazar Géza Orosz (1923-1998) Mr. Géza Orosz passed away July 2, 1998 at the Massena Memorial Hospital. He was bom September 4, 1923 in Tűrtereves, Romania, the son of Andrew and Maria (Simons) Orosz■ He served in the U.S. Navy during World War 11. Mr. Orosz married Martha Granger in 1946 in Massena, New York. He worked at Alcoa at the St. Lawrence plant, and later at the New York Power Authority, where he retired in 1985 after 30 years as chief 216
