Our newly received award for the “Best Non-Profit Ethnic Exhibit at the Columbus International Festival. November 1997. attention here. In the last few years we made significant progress in bringing our church up to present standards of safety and security, comfort and beauty. We are grateful to our sister church in Dayton for the contribution made toward our air conditioning system. Beside replacing this system, we have also purchased new tables and chairs for our fellowship hall. We give God both the credit and the thanks for all these improvements. We are also looking ahead to some significant changes in the future and ask God’s help with those as well. The voting membership of our church at the time of our last congregational meeting was 102. During the last year we had one baptism, one wedding, and eight funeral services. Last year we had four confirmands, this year we have two in the confirmation class, they will be confirmed in 1998. They all study from C.R.C./R.C.A. curriculums. During the last year, we received two new members, but four left the church, by moving away from Columbus. In the Sunday School we have seven children, in the youth class we also have seven students. The average attendance of our English services is 50. We serve the Holy Communion once in every month and take communion to the sick members upon request. The members of the Youth Fellowship participate in taking the collection during our services, they provide the donuts for the coffee hour between the services, and are responsible for conducting the entire worship service when the pastor is on vacation. Seventeen people attended the Youth Camp from our church last summer. 93
