The final judgement, by Christ, is certainly unavoidable. We can only prepare for it. Doctrinal competence will not rescue us, only the fruits of our faith. We bring forth those gifts now not because we are afraid of the final evaluation but because we love God and our fellow neighbor. Such love requires the ability to translate lofty ideas into practical, meaningful actions. Diakonia for us Hungarian-American Reformed Christians in the 90’s should not do less. Dr Laglo M Medyesy
