Hl|crcus, The Bethlen Hume of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America Í3 celebrating its seventy-fifth anniversary of service to the community; and Hljcrcas, The history of The Bethlen Home started in 1921 with the establishment of an orphanage for children whose families were displaced by mine explosions and other dire circumstances. To house the children, farmhouses and farmland were purchased on the hillside ofLigonicr; and naifcreas, Over time it was realized that the loving people who cared for the orphans were in need of care themselves, and as the children had been moved to an old mansion in downtown Ligonier, the first permanent home for the aged was established in 1951 on the site of the old farmhouses; and JllllCrCttS, The nursing home grew and expanded over the years, always providing the best possible care for those in need and endeavoring to discover new ways to enhance its mission and challenge. As the twenty-first century approaches, The Bethlen Home will continue to be an integral part of the Ligonier community.
