AZ AMERIKAI MAGYAR REFORMÁTUS EGYESÜLET TEMPLOMÉPÍTŐ KÖLCSÖN PROGRAMJA

Az Amerikai Magyar Református Egyesület története szorosan összefügg a magyar református templomok építésével itt, Amerikában. Templom építésére adott kölcsönünket 1912- ben kezdtük el a Kearsarge, Michigan állami Magyar Református Egyháznak adott kölcsönnel 500 dollár értékben. Majd azt követte a Flint, Michigan állam 6000 dolláros, Kalamazoo, szintén Michigan állami 5000 dolláros és Lorain, Ohio állami 4000 dolláros kölcsöne. Attól kezdve nem igen található az Egyesült Államokban olyan magyar református egyház, amelyik ne vette volna igénybe kölcsön programunkat templom, papiak vagy iskolai épületek építésére. Csak az elmúlt 40 év alatt az alábbi egyházak építkeztek a Református Egyesülettől kapott kölcsönök segítségével.

MORTGAGES GIVEN BY THE HUNGARIAN REFORMED FEDERATION OF AMERICA FOR THE BUILDING OF LOCAL CHURCHES

The history of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America is tied together with the building of Hungarian churches in the United States. The mortgage program, in the amount of $500.00, with the request of the Hungarian Reformed Church in Kearsarge, Michigan, had started in 1912; additional requests came and were honored from our churches in Flint, Michigan ($6,000.00), in Kalamazoo, Michigan ($5,000.00), and from Lorain, Ohio ($4,000.00). There are hardly any churches which did not request such mortgages for sanctuaries, parsonages, or educational buildings. During the past 40 years building projects have been completed by churches below with the assistance and help of the Federation’s Mortgage Program.
