cleaned out in preparation for its being leased to the New Light Missionary Baptist Church. The lease began on July 1 and will extend for two years with the option to buy. We also sponsored a property clean up day in the spring. A great deal was accomplished but there is still a lot that needs to be done in order to properly maintain our properties. Another very busy committee was the By-Laws Committee. Under the supervision of Rev. Attila Szemesi, the By- Laws were reviewed and revised as necessary. The committee began presenting the revisions to the Consistory in September. Under the guidance of Rev. Bela Poznan, the changes were reviewed and finally accepted at our November meeting. A special Congregational Meeting will was held in March to ratify the new By-Laws. During the year, I was pleased to represent our church at many social functions. Missions have once again become a very important part of our church life. Three special mission projects were held and regular mission offerings increased almost 50%. Thank you for your generous support of our work. Another special mission we are involved in is the Good Shepherd House (soup kitchen) in Norwalk for cookies are baked weekly. We also held a Thanksgiving dinner at our church for those members who might have been alone. Over Labor Day weekend I represented our church at the American Hungarian Reformed Presbyters Association in Ligonier, PA. I served on the Resolution Committee and was elected to be secretary of the AHRPA for the next two years. WALLINGFORD, CT Pastor: Richard Diehl The idea of peaceful, harmonious living together of the family of God, the Church members of Jesus Christ, has been a recurring image in the pages of the Holy Scripture. With thankful hearts we can say today that this Biblical standard was maintained among us during the busy year. Without harmonious living, mutual respect and encouragement, we could not have been able to accomplish the highlights of the year. 180
