Magyar Presbiteriánus Gyülekezetek

A gyülekezet és a kórus egy része. reasons is that we belong to the American Presbytery, which means that we cannot be completely independent. In addition there are several members of our church, who probably would like to unite with another Presbyterian Church. Our church began with Hungarians, they will always it, and we do not want to give up our Hungarian heritage. Thus the problem is, that our members do not want to agree with each other, and this is unfortunately is an old story. This way it is very difficult to move forward with our church. The other problem is, that our membership is dwindling. Years ago the membership was more than 400, now it is only 60-70. We have tried everything to increase the membership, but without much result. Church attendance has not decresed, however sometimes we can see new as well as old faces at the services. We have more members at the Hungarian services. There are also positive aspects about our church. This year the famous Hungarian Choir of Garfield, NJ performed in our church. The church was almost packed. Afterwards we served lunch in the Church Hall. 210
