előtt álló 10 éven felüliekre. Az így megnagyobbodott csoport komolyan és nagy lelkesedéssel készül az 1991-re tervezett magyarországi útjára. Pénzgyűjtés mellett magyarul is tanul­nak. Az egyházi életnek is, mint a mindennapinak, megvan a nap­sugaras és az árnyas oldala. Ez a beszámoló a napsugarasra szen­telte figyelmét. Gyülekezetünk tisztviselői, önkéntesei, sőt min­den tagja és lelkipásztora bizalommal, reménnyel és hittel tekint 1990 elé. Ha ezévi igyekezetünket Isten eredménnyel áldja, ezért Neki legyen egyedül a dicsőség. Mint minden rádióadásun­kat, ezt a jelentést is így zárjuk: Soli Deo Gloria! During the summer months, a small but devoted group of members continued to fulfill the needof long due repairs to our buildings. Our church has undergone a major interior face-lift which included the painting, cleaning and waxing of the church. Through their diligent work, the cost of this project was a frac­tion of the estimated amount. Needless to say, labor from the heart assured us of a long and lasting professional job. After the initial window replacement in 1988 and painting in 1989, we an­ticipate future upkeep of our buildings. Our congregation is one of the few Hungarian churches who own their own cemetery. This fills us with pride, but it is also causes expenses and worries. The Borough of West Mifflin, where our cemetery is located, replaced the decayed railroad ties retain­ing wall with gabion baskets. We hope to extend this wall in 1990 to keep our cemetery safe and beautiful from the hazards of nature. There were three fund-raising activities during 1989. A small group of individuals prepared homemade pear jelly to aid the church’s financial difficulties; the project was very successful. A king size quilt was made by ladies of the church under the direction of Mrs. Betty Tusay. We held a raffle for the quilt which brought a clear profit of over $1,600. The third project was a re­cording of Christmas Carols in both English and Hungarian by a 184
