tinues to be our highest priority. Each Sunday morning we have a strong English and a strong Hungarian congregation. In addition to regular holiday services we have mid-week services at designated times during the year. Our worship committee helps in planning and to lead in worship. The building of our Christian Education program continues under the direction of Mrs. Anna Souto. On Sunday mornings, religious education is offered for all people ages 2-adult. In addition, we offer weekday Bible study, along with our annual 2 week summer Vacation Bible School, and our annual marriage enrichment series. The Sunday School also sponsors several family nights, service projects, retreats and social events. 13 young people confirmed their faith in April. Our Youth Fellowship program is now under the leadership of advisors Charles and Pam Carpenter. Bob King retired as advisor after many years of dedicated service. Our goal is to increase youth involvement through Christ centered programming, service projects and social activities. In May we hosted the annual youth conference sponsored by our midwestem Hungarian Reformed Churches. We also sent a bus load of young people to summer camp in August. President of the Youth Fellowship is Ms. Kelly Carpenter. Our many church organizations continue their hard work in service to God and our church. The Ladies Aid, the Dorcas Guild, the Men’s Guild and the Golden Circle all raised much needed financial support toward the expenses of our church while at the same time provided Christian fellowship and social opportunities for its members. The Martha Circle is a service and social group made up mostly of younger women, while the Women’s Fellowship sponsors programs to enrich the lives of all women in the church. Our church also hosts the monthly meetings of the Detroit area Szatmar County Association. We sponsor a Hungarian Folk Dance group under the leadership of Mrs. Velma Sabo. Our social hall and meeting rooms are used throughout the year for area-wide Hungarian programs and celebrations. Our music program continues under the direction of Tim Loszewski. In addition to our fine adult choir we now have a handbell choir which played for the first time on Christmas Eve. A Lenten racital takes place each year on the Sunday before Palm Sunday. And, of course, by the grace of God, we continue to expand our social service to members and the community. We have an active Nursing Home Visitation ministry and a Good Samaritan Ministry to help those in need. Together with Holy Cross 210
