A karbantartást és külső telki munkánkat egyházfink, önkéntesek segítségével és hivatásos takarítókkal tettük lehetővé. Ennek ellenére se-szeri se-száma kisebb-nagyobb javítgatásoknak, beszerzéseknek. Autóbuszunk minden vasárnap elhozza az előre bejelentetteket a templomba. Presbitériumunk lelkesen, felelősségteljesen őrködik és szolgál: Tatár A. gondnok, Maxim E. algondnok, Bak J. pénztáros, Enyedi F. titkár és az „usherok”. Hiszem, hogy az ötvenedik határkő nemcsak múltat zár, de holnapba is inditja ezt a régi, szép, sok szolgálatban öregbülő egyházunkat. The Hungarian Reformed Church of Columbus, Ohio The Rev. Paul Kantor was pastor of our Church until Nov. 1988. Our pulpit is vacant and the search for a new minister is on. We thank the following ministers for coming as guest ministers for Nov. and Dec.: Rev. Zoltán Szucs, adm., Dr. László Kovács from Ind., Rev. Paul Kovács from Ligonier, Pa., Rev. Stephen Szabó from Cleveland and Rev. Gerald Koster, retired Methodist minister from Cals. Rev. Gerald Koster is serving as long we need him. At present we only have one combined service on Sunday with one Hungarian hymn and prayer included. The projects for 1988 were sausage making, bake sales, dinners, rummage sales, jelly bean sales and cabbage roll sale. We pray that our pulpit will soon be filled and one can look for a great future. Chief Elder John Packe DAYTON, OH Pastor: Kaiser Raymond This year has been one of making the community more aware of the presence of the Hungarian influence and heritage in Dayton. Ohio. On March 15th we celebrated Hungarian Independence Day with our traditional banquet, serving over 500 people, among them several prominent political leaders and influential citizens. This was followed by our participation in the „World A-fair”, a community cultural food exchange to which our ladies contributed over 3000 Hungarian cookies. This year also saw the establishing of Hungarian language classes, open to the community, as well as 3 Hungarian cultural programs utilizing slides and video tapes.
