Christine L. Szepesi: Annual May Youth Conference

1987 75 ANNUAL MAY YOUTH CONFERENCE “Tradition: Hold Fast to What You Have” was the theme for the annual youth conference which was hosted by the Duquesne Hungarian Reformed Church. The event took place on Saturday and Sunday, May 3 and 4, 1986. The conference was attended by youth from other Hungarian churches in Ohio, Michigan, and Canada. Saturday's activities included registration, a short opening, and a series of workshops for the youth to attend. After all workshops were through, a dinner was prepared by the women of the host church. Later that evening, there was a dance held in the church hall, which was followed by a short vesper service in the church to end the evening. The guests then went to the host homes for the night. Housing was provided by members of the congregation. Sunday's activities started with a communion service, which was followed by a guest speaker and a slide presentation. Later in the afternoon, the annual meeting was held, followed by dinner and departure. The next conference will be held at the First Hungarian Reformed Church in Cleveland, Ohio. We hope to see everyone there for another spiritually uplifting experience. Christine L. Szepesi President, Youth Fellowship Hungarian Reformed Church Duquesne, PA.
