Bethlen Naptár, 1985 (Ligonier)

Kálvin Egyházkerület

1985 121 JOHNSTOWN-WINDBER Lelkipásztor: Benedek József Chief Elder: C. Nagyvathy. Praise be unto God, the Father of us all; we have as in the past worked diligently during the year. Being a small but truly dedicated group of workers for our Lord, we worshiped together on all of the Sabbath days and Holy days and we participated in Holy Communion together on every occasion, both in Church as well as taking it to the shut-ins. The Pastor participated in several weddings in churches out of town, at the request of the parties concerned. We had one Confirmant in our Johnstown-Windber Church this year and we are happy to report that he is a very faithful church and Sunday School member. We ask God’s blessing on him and his family. Our Ladies have been working very diligently. They have been busy making “csiga noodles” and, beside this they have held two rummage and bake sale projects, which were most successful. We have had no major repairs on our buildings this past year as everything is in good shape. At the writing of this report the Ladies group has undertaken the project of remodeling the office room in the parsonage and, hopefully, it will be completed by the first of November. Matthew Bubenko és Nt. Benedek József
