1982 89 de ezen felül száz meg száz híd, alagút, évekig épülő útrendszerek néhózítik meg a közlekedést. Vannak családaink, akiknek egy teljes órai utazásba kerül a templomhoz eljutni. Fontos szerepe van éppen ezért gyülekezei értesítőnknek, amit “Harangszó” címmel havonként, néha kéthetenként is postára adunk tagjainhoz, barátainkhoz. Külön szervezett ifjúsági munkánk jelenleg nincs. De nagy örömre szolgál, hogy fiatal nemzedékünk sok-sok tagja rendszeresen résztvesz az istentiszteleteken szüleik, nagyszüleik sorai között. A lelkipásztor nyári szabadsága alatt presbitereink helyettesítették, három másik vasárnapon pedig szintén, amikor Johnstownban, Akronban és Homesteaden szolgált. With the election of the Reverend Zoltán A. Kovács to the pastorate of the Flint, Mich. Hungarian Reformed Church, the Rankin pulpit became vacant. Immediately a delegation visited with the McKeesport pastor and asked for her services. She accepted the challenge and has been supplying the pulpit since March 15, 1981. Being the smallest church still alive in the Central Classis, the Rankin Church showed a considerable wisdom in handling a crisis situation. Exposing the church to a long-term disruption of services would have meant certain death. Now they are alive and well. In honor of the Rev. and Mrs. Zoltán A. Kovács the congregation had a nice farewell fellowship dinner. The highlight of the year was the hosting of the Central Classis Annual Spring Meeting. Their warm hospitality and delicious dinner remained a cherished memory of the participants. SPRINGDALE, PA. — Pastor: Rev. Imre Kovács The year was spent in joyful fellowship, in winning souls and preparing for the return of the Lord. Four ladies have been elected into the consitory. Elmer Charles ia Chief Eider, James Bégányi and Julius Telegdy are Vice Presidents. Mrs. James (Emma) Bégányi is Secretary. M. Walter E. Severn is Treasurer. The Elders are: George Charles, Gusztáv Cserr, Charles Bicker, Terry Ellis, William Jendrey, Mrs. William (Mary) Jendrey, Elmer Kish, Mrs. Imre (Emma) Kovács, James Mozga, Robert Nameth, Mrs. Walter (Kathy) Severa and Steve Üveges. After the 10:00 A.M. Morning Service in English we have fellowship and refreshments in the dining hall.
