WHEREAS, Bethlen Home for the Aged is commemorating its sixtieth anniversary with a banquet on October 24, 1981; and

WHEREAS, The Bethlen Home for the Aged, a non-profit organization, has been operating for the good of the community since its dedication on July 4, 1921. The home has taken care of more than 3,000 patients, including hundreds from the Ligonier Valley. For fifty-five years, the Bethlen Home for the Aged operated an orphanage where more than 2,000 children were cared for.

Now therefore, the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania extends hearty congratulations to Bethlen Home for the Aged on the momentous occasion of its sixtieth anniversary; extends best wishes for many more years of successful operation and excellent service; and further directs that a copy of this citation be delivered to Bethlen Home for the Aged, Ligonier, Pennsylvania 15658.
