124 BETHLEN NAPTÁR 1981 Looking at our church life, during the course of the year we had our share of celebrations over the accomplished matters, and our sadness upon things that did not work the way we wanted to. There were many that God has called home into that kingdom that is not built by hands, while he sent into our fellowship new members to be quardians of our church life. The members (active membership) have taken their share in building a better, more spiritual congregation. The Sr. Women’s Club, Women’s Guild and Fellowship Circle with their dedication and hard work provided a great help in the financial burdens we carried. Our members in this past year relaxed a little in their contributions, but taking into consideration the rapid changes of life, and inflation we were able to close the year with a positive balance. Our elected elders tried their very best, so to direct our activities and church related affairs that most of our members would receive the benefit of the church both spiritual and social. Church services were held every Sunday of the year in both languages. Holy Communion was observed in accordance with our traditions. With great interest we directed our Christian Education knowing that our future beside God’s grace will depend on the coming generations. Financially our church is stable—all our buildings are paid for. We only pray that God will give us faith, hope and strength that we may continue to serve Him with gladness. Rev. S.
