96 BETHLEN NAPTÁR just to Hungarians but to Christians of every race and nationalistic origin. This new era, with the help of Almighty God, can see great things for the American-Hungarian United Church of Christ. The work of the church goes on under able leadership. The Lorantffy Zsuzsanna faithfully supports the church and meets each month with Mrs. Louis Bagoly as its president. The Women’s Guild which is a group of younger women lovingly competes with the elder ladies in their support of the church. Their president is Mrs. Kathryn Sabbi. Each of the groups gave $1 ,500 to the church at Christmas. The Couples Club under the direction of President Jim Vojcsik, covers all age groups, from 6 to 92. They ar very active, both socially and in their support of the church. The cho: under the direction of June Wright, sings every Sunday, except for ' summer months when there is a soloist. The Church School has 5 regül teachers and 4 alternates. The pastor, who is finishing his 20th year with the Air Force serves as Chaplain, Lt. Col., to the 302nd Tactical Airlift Wing at Rickenbacker Air Force Base in Ohio. He flies there each month for his training. On Oct. 20th at a Special Commander’s Call he received the Air Force Commendation Medal. This is the 3rd time in 20 years that he has received this high award. Quite an honor! A new group, the Past President’s Council, was organized this year. The members are Bob Klingaman, John Serdy, Gus Gombos, Jim Gere and Chancel area of Phoenixville Church at Christmas.
