166 BETHLEN ALMANAC Board of Elders, San Francisco, with the Rev. Louis Illés, Pastor. Berkeley, California and Saratoga, Calfornia are affiliated mission stations of our San Francisco Church. The Rev. Illés of San Francisco supplies their pulpit regularly and conducts the Bible and Hungarian classes of the young people. In social activities the people of these two small congregations cooperate fully with the “mother church” in San Francisco. San Bernardino, California is a self-supporting congregation ministered by the Reverend Bela Ambrus. It helps European refugee children and three aged couples in Hungary regularly. The Church Council is headed by the pastor and Albert Onody the very faithful Chief Elder of our small congregation. San Francisco Women’s Association.
