In September the Rev. Stephen Kovács completed 20 years of service in this pastorate. In 1939, while a graduate student in Pittsburgh, he was assigned to serve here by the then Dean, Joseph Urban.

Edward Varga, the chief elder, was confirmed by Rev. Kovács. Most of the elders were brought up in this church fellowship. English is used at Board meetings.

Years ago the decision was made to build a new church. Changes in the community’s building pattern led the people to choose the policy of enlarging the building fund before deciding anything definite.

For the past 17 years the pastor has mailed a religious periodical weekly to his congregation.
