162 BETHLEN ALMANAC 1959 Confirmation Class, McKeesport Church. The members of the Board of the Elders are: William Halasz Jr., Alex Meszar, Lawrence Papp, Gabor T. Balogh Jr., Joseph Meszar, Joseph Nemeth, Joseph Szucs, John Simon, William S. Balogh, László Kovács Sr., William Orosz, Andrew Fedor Sr., Joseph Kovács, Steve T. Balogh, Steve Cetto, Stephen Földi, Gabor Orosz, Andrew Makatura, Anna Mary Nagy. Officers of the Sunday School: Edward Pavuk superintendent, Mrs. Ernest Fazekas treasurer, Mrs. Elsie Pickell organist and one of the teachers, Mrs. Nelson Wayne song directress: teachers: Shirley Fedor, Edward Pavuk, Donna Fazekas, Mrs. William Brinza, Mrs. Joseph Meszar, Mrs. Ernest Fazekas and Paul Makatura. The expenses of the Sunday School and all the expenses of the Summer Bible School are taken care of by the Sunday School itself which is sponsors the Christmas and Mother Day festivals and is the host to the children of the congregation at one of the picnics. Their total income in the last year amounted to $898.10, their expense was $605.65. Our Ladies’ Aid Society last year did a very faithful job and consists of 54 members. The officers are: Mrs. Michael Toth honorary president, Mrs. Andrew Fedor president, Mrs. Eugene Olah vice-president, Mrs. Alexander Toth treasurer, Mrs. William Orosz comptroller, Mrs. Louis Nagy secretary. Their yearly income was $2,053.44 out of which they donated $1,300.00 to the church and presented gifts to our Sunday School children and Sunday School teachers at Christmas time. The officers of the Christian Fellowship were: Joseph Nemeth president, Joseph Szucs vice-president, Mrs. Joseph Nemeth treasurer, Mrs. Ethel Gorun secretary, Mrs. Joseph Szucs corresponding secretary. Their yearly income was $154. This year they postponed their activities. Our Youth Fellowship was especially active this year. During the summer months they met as often as three times weekly and arranged for the na­tional youth conference of our American Hungarian Reformed Church. Their officers are: Shirley Fedor president, Paul Makatura vice-president, Caroline Orosz secretary, Joseph Brinza treasurer. Our church choir was very active in the last year too. Their group did sing during all the worship services which we had in English. It numbers 25 members. The choir leader is: Elsie Pickell. The members of our congregation are faithfully attending the church services and contributing generously toward its needs. There were 41 families in the last year whose contributions surmounted the mark of $100.00 per a year. The church is now planning to by a church lot at the most
