28 BETHLEN ALMANAC "GOOD MINISTERS OF JESUS CHRIST" by Charles A. Darocy A man preaching to a university community in one of America’s most prominent pulpits; the executive of a major department of the National Council of Churches; an Army chaplain on duty in a foreign base; a pastor in an urban slum; what have they all in common? One thing: they are all men of Hungarian background who serve non-Hungarian speaking congregations. Many of them were bom in Hungary. Most are the products of our Hungarian American Reformed community. The number of these men must be great. This article deals only with those who serve within the Reformed family of Churches. These three denominations have always prided themselves on having ministers of the highest caliber. And in all three men of Hungarian background have served and continue to serve their Lord with distinction.
