222 BETHLEN NAPTÁR WILLIAM SZUCH was born in Leechburg, Pa. “Bill” attended Leechburg High School and subsequently was employed by the Allegheny- Ludlum Steel Corporation in the same town. He later gained employment with the Westing­­house Electric Corporation (Transformer Division) in Sharon, Pa., where he has been employed for the past 14 years. His education was supplemented by Westinghouse­­sponsored courses. He has been a member of the Execu­tive Board of the IUE-CIO, local 617 for four years. Alert to all things going on around him Mr. Szuch unstintingly shares his talents with his church as well as his community. He is past vice president and acting pres­ident of the Hungarian Home, has been a member of the Board of Elders of the Bethlehem Hungarian Presbyterian Church for 13 years, a member and past president of the Goodwill Club, and a member of the Men’s Brotherhood. He is active in the local Parent-Teacher Association and a member of the Ways and Means Committee of Prospect Heights School in Sharon, Pa. In the ’40’s he spent 32 months in the armed forces of the United States serving both in the European as well as the Asiatic Theaters with the 1073 Amphibian Engineers. Mr. Szuch lives with his wife Helen and son W. James, age 11, in Sharon, Pa., enjoying his fine family and his favorite hobby: refinishing antique furniture. He plays the violin and is a basketball enthusiast. Congratulations to Mr. Szuch on being elected a member of the Supreme Council of our Federation at our 1956 Convention.
