226 BETHLEN NAPTÁB In the records of accrediting associations and graduates schools, Elmhurst College is among the high ranking colleges of liberal arts and sciences. Well trained alumni have established that reputation. For the college age youth of the churches of Hungarian background and others, Elmhurst College, along with its other fine departmental offerings, makes available in the Division of Languages and Literature the study of the Hungarian culture, language, literature and history. These courses were designed by Dr. Barnabas Dienes, the founder of the department of Hungarian ten years ago. At the present time, the Rev. August J. Molnár, a recent graduate of Elmhurst, is the instructor in Hungarian and assistant director of admissions. Already, more than fifty students of Hungarian background from allover the United States have attended Elmhurst College and received degrees of Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science. They have made good names for themselves in their various fields of teaching, business, medicine, the ministry and in graduate schools. Attracting students from various parts of the world, Elmhurst has a cosmopolitan atmosphere. Students representing over half of the 48 states are enrolled at Elmhurst College.
