66. OLDAL BETHLEN NAPTÁR AZ 1945-IK ESZTENDŐRE Workers: Mrs. Louis Nanassy, Matron of the Children’s Home. Mrs. Alexander Mircse, Matron of the Old People’s Home. Mrs. Barbara Gacsalyi, Cook at the Children’ sHome. Mrs. Mary Essik, Cook at the Old People’s Home. Mrs. Mary Szabó, Helper at the Children’s Home. George Essik, Farm Boss. Michael Mundy, Farm Hand. Mrs. Mary Adam, temporary cook at the farmhouse. Investments In view of the increasing number of applicants into the Old People’s Department in 1943 and 1944 the Farmhouse has been remodeled and equipped with new furniture. A new, modern, up-to-date Chicken coop was erected for 2000 chicks. In 1944 a new tractor and in July 1944 a new Chevrolet truck were purchased. The material for the new pig pen is paid entirely and we intend to construct the new building after threshing. A new platform is under erection to haul the coal from the mine. The Farmhouse needs a new roof and other buildings require repair of roofs also. As soon as a contractor will be available (we are after him for a year already, but this is wartime), the work will be finished.
