Eric A. Boerner: Forces Of Far Greater Power

OLDAL BETHLEN NAPTÁR AZ 1945-IK ESZTENDŐRE spiritual knowledge to their own special talent for scientific technique and skill, then only this combination to the solution of current problems, we should soon be making headway. The people of the West have a thorough knowledge of the materials and forces of the Earth and have invented a great technique for using them. The people of the East, despite their present decadence, have an outlook that enables them to recognise themselves as part of the life of the entire universe. They feel the presence and guidance of eternal and great spiritual powers, tehy have a point of view which saves them from feeling like lost sheep in the universe. — It is as Edward Schur’e says in his: “Sanctuaries d’Orient” It cannot be denied that the people of the East bear on their foreheads the mark of the finger of God for beneath their superstition, they possess the cult of that divine world for wich we sorrowfully yearn. Are human beings ready to use properly the added leisure bestowed upon them by machines ? If so, their conception of the purpose of life must be lifted higher. Enjoying physical pleasure alone in life, this would be a poor thing to win this war thru our machines. In place of mere nature — consciousness Man must be guided to self-consciousness. Man must feel towards God, Nature, the Cosmos, the whole Universe, when he begins to think seriouly of Soul and Spirit. He must do his utmost to develope his inner life. This is the way to solve the social questions of today. We
