A Fizikai épület - The Physics Building Kalmár Miklós

In line with other concepts by Hauszmann, the large auditoriums facing Budafoki Street were revised to be directly accessible by inserting new stairwells. According to the original scheme, none of the buildings on the Campus would touch the boundaries of the site. As Czigler had kept a minimal distance between the ends of the building towards Budafoki Street and the fence, Hauszmann had no other choice than align the western wall of the stairwells with the site boundary when 'wedging'' them. This change, in turn, affected the facade design of the auditoriums as the new stairwells screened the windows designed to face Budafoki Street. Illumination thus compromised was compensated for by the new design of the side facades. With its numerous entrances and A DÉLKELETI ELŐADÓTEREM ÉS A GÉPLABORATÓRIUM ÉPÜLETÉNEK BŐVÍTMÉNYE THE SOUTH-EASTERN AUDITORIUM AND THE EXTENSION OF THE ENGINES LABORATORY various access routes the Physics Building grew similar to the Central Building. As a rule, Hauszmann only made minor changes elsewhere to the plans of the building made by Czigler. Specialised in R-C structures, the architects' team of Dr. Szilárd Zielinski, a lecturer of the university designed monolythic R-C roofing above the auditorium of the south-eastern corner of the building on the second storey. The realisation of the F Building had started before the completion of the Ch Building. The need to continuously employ artisans necessitated this temporal overlap of the two projects. Earthworks launched in 1904 were ready in February, 1905. On the completion of foundation and insulation, the construction of the masonry in the basement
