- 17 ­During their studies foreign students are to arrange for an official residence permit, at their costs. During their stay in Hungary, students may have a foreign exchange account at the Na­tional Savings Bank. Students obtain student's identity cards entitling them to allowances /inland travel, tourism/. The University and the students' hostels are sited centrally in Budapest a city of 2 millión inhabitants, which enables students to jóin the vivid cultural life, to enjoy sports, tourism, and entertainment. FEES Students admitted either to five-year engineering studies or to postgraduate education will pay a tuition fee of US $ 250.- per month throughout their studies, for ten months in an academic year. Tuition fees include costs of education, of health service, and provides access to educational, cultural and sports facilities of this University. Tuition fees do not include costs for books and other textbooks. There is no matriculation fee. Fees for attending courses will be determined separately for the given course. Tuition and attendance fee s entitle students to free medical services and medicines at reduced price. Students may be accommodated in two-bed rooms in students' hostels, at a cost of US $ 90 a month. Students unwilling to be accommo­dated in a students' hoste l may rent a room or a dwelling for a rent of US $ 80 to 240 a month, depending on their requirements. Meals may be taken - if requested - in a canteen, at a monthly cost of US $ 30 to 50 for lunch, and US $ 20 to 40 for dinner. Fees should be paid in advance for five months in a terra or for the duration of the course by remittance to the bank account indicated in the notice of admission, or, if in Hungary, through the Hungárián National Bank. For students interrupting their studies for serious causes /other than from their fault/, the remitted tuition
