Two times she did pioneering work: in 1924 a two-year agricultural secondary school was established in Constantinum as the first in the country with her financial support and in 1938 she established another, a four-year agricultural secondary school which was the first in the country, too. Besides reviewing nun Blandina’s career and work the treatise shows the operation, the subject matter of instruction and statistic data of these school types in detail. The town of Kiskunfélegyháza awarded Mária Blandina Fazekas posthumous honorary citizenship in 2010. This fact makes the publication of the essay really timely. ______________________________________________________________________________________Summaries Gy örgy Sümegi A MISCARRIED COOPERATION: KÁROLY KÓS AND KECSKEMÉT 1909 First of all, Károly Kós started to work in architectural offices after earning his degree of architecture. Later he worked together for a while with his contemporaries, the members of Young Architects (Dezső Zrumeczky, Béla Jánszky). In the autumn of 1909 the Dénes Györgyi-Károly Kós Architectural Office contacted the idea of Colony of Artist of Kecskemét (found out by Béla Iványi Grünwals) and mayor Elek Kada who realized the plan of the Colony. The mayor was helped in the planning period, as well, with a program of the establishing by Károly Kós and his colleague. In the middle of November 1909 they also wanted to be the establishers of the Colony. Elek Kada was also the person who asked the Kós-Györgyi Architectural Office for building a Casino. It can be found out from the attached letters that Kada instructed the designers so he wrote the programme of the building. However, Béla Jánszky was quicker with the plans,therefore, Kós and his colleague missed the possibility of building losing the opportunity of the cooperation with Kecskemét, as well.
