in the early socialism. As it appears from the sources the state power's attitude to the Gypsies had changed after the revolution of 1956 because their aim was rather to help of this minority's adoptions to the society than earlier. In spite of these facts the integration of the Gypsies was difficult as they had to give up their wandering lifestyle. However, the results are obvious. It was the end of the wandering Gypsy lifestyle, the number of the Gypsy colonies progressively decreased in the county, there were more and more Gypsies who were employed in the industrial production so they started to integrate into the socialist society. Obviously, the problems still existed but by the 1960s the development was demonstrable in the Gypsies' circumstances. TIBOR IVÁNYOSI-SZABÓ OPERATION OF THE TOWN BUTCHER'S SHOP IN KECSKEMÉT IN THE 16-17™ CENTURIES In the Middle Ages the operation of a butcher's shop did not increase the income of a settlement so it was mentioned in charters only rarely as a source of income. This is the reason of getting so little attention in regional historical monographs. Operating a butcher's shop as a proof of an urban development appeared relatively late even in the prairie towns. The first written evidences of the operation of a shop like that survived only from the end of the 16 th century. It can be known from these documents that in those centuries the right of collecting taxes which was very important in supplying the inhabitants was only the council's responsibility. The essay does not only prove the existence of Kecskemét town's butcher's shop on the basis of the incompletely survived sources but it also contains additional information on the operation, control and direction of the town's butcher's shop in the 16-17 th centuries. LÁSZLÓ NÁNÁSI HUNGARIAN PROSECUTION IN THE TIME OF COUNTER-REVOLUTION AND CONSOLIDATION The governments came into office after the defeat of the Hungarian Soviet Republic made efforts to re-establish the conditions before October 1918 and the continuity of rights. At the same time the restoration of the attorney organization started . However, the chaotic internal situation made these processes slower (the Romanian and Serbian attorney). In consequence of the changes of punitive sanctions the prosecution, which had been cleared from revolutionary elements, could start its undisturbed operation with a bigger independence from the first part of the 1920.
