IDEGENNYELVŰ ÖSSZEFOGLALÓK Ringer Árpád

As for art objects of the Upper Paleolithic especially interesting are the so called lunar calendar from Bodrogkeresztúr, the bone-flute with three holes found in the Istállóskő cave and the engravings found in the Hillebrand Jenő cave. As for anthropological remains the Neanderthal type and Homo sapiens sapiens finds of the Suba-lyuk, Istállóskő cave, Balla cave and Miskolc-Tapolca rock shelter are worth mentioning. In Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county the Hominoida site at Rudabânya has an exceptional importance; there djstant -more than 10 million years old ancestor of Early Man, Rudapithecus hugaricus and Anapithecus hernyaki were found together with the rich remains of paleoenvironment, the latter ones mostly during the excavations led by the geologist-paleonthologist László Kordos.
