pleted. Therefore we tried to collect all the materials that are related to the possible coins of the local mint. The area received a medal-historical significance for the second time subsequent to World War I. and the collapse of the AustroHungarian monarchy. The region became renowned as an important factor of money history during the Serb military occupation, due to the emergency currencies released in Pécs and its surrounding. Besides the mentioned occasions, emergency currencies were released in this region only a few other times. The coin findings deliver data from the Celtic times until today for the modern history of money, but these findings are connected with Baranya county only through the event of hiding them. The segregation by age is often not possible without comprehensive and precise knowledge on the articles. For this reason their inclusion in a separate index would have been beyond the means of this bibliography. Following the coin findings we included the labels and tokens, mostly made of metal, having a money-like value, and usually used as a currency, which were created in the territory of Baranya county. The subsequent three chapters elaborate the medals. The first chapter among them is composed of the data on the medals related to the Turkish wars, which were strictly connected with the history of Baranya. Following the medals, the volume introduces the materials of money and medal exhibitions facilitated in the territory of the county. Due to their appearance and divergent functions, it was desirable to include badges and emblems in a separate chapter. However, we have to admit that our material is disproportionately poor compared to the high number of badges released, the only reason for which is the lack of elaboration. In the chapter we refer to the awards too, such as the Prebendary Order of Pécs. Since we have no knowledge on any further award released in this region, we have included the medal- and plaquelike awards to the medals, and therefore it was unnecessary to open up a separate chapter for them. Furthermore we remark that we did not consider the great
