2000 was presented using a selection of objects from the Museum of Applied Arts, the Hungarian National Museum, the Herend Porcelain Museum and private collections. The exhibition was on view between 2016 and 2018 in museums in Osaka, Fukuyama, Niigata and Aichi. (The final location of the traveling exhibition was the Panasonic Shiodome Museum in Tokyo, where it was on view between 13 January 2018 and 21 March 2018). (Fig. f) A bilingual (Japanese-English) catalogue was published, of which more than 6,000 copies were sold during the exhibition’s Japanese tour. That 130,000 people viewed the exhibition over the two-year period is another testament to its great success. On 8 April 2017, after the opening in Osaka, Gabriella Balia, curator of the exhibition, gave a lecture entitled ‘A Short History of Hungarian Ceramics—Herend Porcelain—The Far Eastern Inspiration of Herend Porcelain’, in the Museum of Oriental Ceramics in Osaka. In addition to these key exhibitions, several dozens of our objects were lent to various exhibitions in Hungary and abroad: numerous objects to the large exhibition surveying Hungarian art in the 1960s at the Hungarian National Gallery; several tapestries by Ibolya Hegyi to her memorial exhibition at the Christian Museum in Esztergom. Further objects— especially furniture—are on long term loan in numerous castles and mansions maintained by the state as museums. An exhibition of Zsolnay Art Nouveau ceramics from the Janus Pannonius Museum in Pécs, held in Cracow (International Cultural Centre) was also done with our participation: Ágnes Prékopa contributed a study to the catalogue and participated in the selection of objects. Events Easter Creative Arts Fair 8-9 April 2017 During the two-day art fair, visitors could purchase objects made by more than 60 contemporary jewellery designers, ceramists and applied artists. The fair was accompanied by workshops organized by museum educators of the Museum of Applied Arts and provided an opportunity to everyone to test their creativity. Budapest Art Week in the Museum of Applied Arts 18-23 April 2017 In 2017 the Museum of Applied Arts again took part in the series of events comprising Budapest Art Week. Visitors to the museum could enjoy subjective guided tours of the Breuer at Flome Again exhibition and associated workshops for children, a guided tour of the Collectors and Treasures exhibition and walk through the building. World Art Nouveau Day 10 June 2017 World Art Nouveau Day, a Hungarian initiative that is now one of the official programs of the international organization Ré- seau Art Nouveau Network (RANN), has been celebrated annually since 2013. In 2017 the central theme chosen by RANN was Art Nouveau & Movement: exploring the art of this period through dance, movement culture, and the motion and rhythms inherent in Art Nouveau forms.
