Design management involves all the processes that promote innovation and successfully increase an organisation’s effi­ciency in the areas of communication, branding, design processes, business deci­sions and service development. In practice design management can be the most suc­cessfully applied when it is integrated into the operational mechanism of an organisa­tion, thus resulting in a design-centred ap­proach and organisational management. All of this year’s nominees embrace design awareness in their management practices. The installation of the show was designed this year by the Medence Group, who cre­ated a truly unique space. The concept, based on the pure white world of studios, focused on the exhibits displayed in an un­conventional fashion. The objects were placed unusually close to the ground, thus inviting visitors to view and be acquainted with these objects more intimately.
