15. Detail of Dutch lace from the textile collection ground is a torchon ground of squares. On the breast part the buttons with enamel and rubies are accentuated by gold embroidery with coral beads on the lace. On the sleeves the acorn-shaped buttons are integrated in the overall ornamentation. The coat fabric is a greenish yellow silk cloth interwoven with gold and silver threads. The floral mo­tifs of the cloth and the lace are similar. Mitre The only ecclesiastical piece of clothing in the collection is a mitre 3 8 from the third quarter of the 17th century, (fig. 16) Simi­larly to the coats, the ground fabric is an Italian floral silk cloth interwoven with metal threads. The central motif of the mi­tre is a pomegranate with a wavy edge sur­rounded by a lace insertion of a torchon 16. Lace of mitre 67
