The stylized subtly drawn composition with the succulent compact fruit forms and the sharply outlined, "constructed", "artificial" dish shape combine into a harmonious and sensitive composition which is intensified by the cracks, stains suggesting transience. The latter is achieved with patina. The picture covered with silver leaf is outlined with a cut line and enframed by a broad water clear glass band.
